BLEND YOUR OWN WINE AT OYSTER RIDGE
When you bring your group to Ancient Peaks Barn, a world of possibilities awaits—from outdoor adventures such as ziplining to relaxing pursuits such as art bars and yoga. And you can even take full advantage of our vineyard setting by blending your very own wine!
Indeed, that’s exactly what many of our guests like to do, such as when we recently hosted aboard retreat for Cal Poly’s Orfalea College of Business….
It all began in our event barn, with winemaker Mike Sinor of Ancient Peaks Winery sharing insights into how to assemble a winning blend. Then we broke out a variety of component barrel samples from the surrounding Margarita Vineyard, and our guests applied what they just learned to create their own custom blends. Finally, we corked and wax-sealed each blend, and the guests got to take home their own creations after a celebratory meal at Ancient Peaks Barn.
“Our guests had a phenomenal time wine blending, dining, learning more about the region, and bonding with one another,” said Mary Kelting, the college’s assistant dean. “Cal Poly's night at Ancient Peaks Barn (formerly known as Oyster Ridge) is one we won't soon forget.”
